 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents She began her career as a child performer shortly after immigrating to the United States. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials between 2013 and 2016 - and then from 2020 on - has made her famous. The commercials she appeared in were not her only activity she appeared in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub has also voiced Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being selected to play the character in the unaired TV pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish, born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. When she was just two she left together with her parents to U.S. to escape antisemitism. She settled in West Hollywood. The financial struggles of her family caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. In her sophomore year she dropped out and got an GED. She went on however to earn a Bachelor of Arts Communication degree from the University of California San Diego. Vayntrub studied improv in the Upright Citizens Brigade.
